The Eberlestock F3F is derived from the popular F3M Halftrack
Pack. Eberlestock took a pack that the Army Times voted as their
best pick for a 3-day pack, and that a soldier from the 7th Special
Forces Group telephoned from Afghanistan just to tell them how much
he liked it... and then they made it better. The F3F has a new
zip-around top opening, with optimizes it for PRC-117 type radios,
MOLLE/PALS webbing up the sides in place of the F3M's side pockets,
and two front pockets. This is a great all-around 3-day pack, but
Eberlestock named it the FAC Track because it is the best-in-class
pack for Forward Air Controllers, and they think they're good guys
to have on your team.

FAC Track features include:
- Upper back wall radio rack with 3 large antenna portals.
- Padlock webbing tie-points all over the pack.
- "Shooter's harness" with 3D mesh is vertically adjustable for
varying torso lengths, and is both thinner for shooting, and more
comfortable for heavier loads.
- Numerous small pockets and organizers -- so you can always go
right to what you're looking for.
- Has both a plastic framesheet and contourable internal aluminum
stays.
- Handles on 3 sides make it easy to pick the pack up, especially
when retrieving it from your trunk.
- Five hydration compatible pockets.
The Eberlestock Buttbucket
Gun Carry System, based upon the patent-pending Ripcord
Bowtether, offers you a new way to carry a weapon aft of your
shoulders, and to still be able to get it off of your back without
removing the pack.
Since you may ask for a comparison between the Buttbucket and
the Backscabbard systems, here it is: The Ripcord system is simple,
it is universal, and beneath it all there is a very nice
conventional backpack. The Ripcord is easy to use, works well, and
will be a godsend for those who used to think that the only way to
carry a gun was either in your hands or on a shoulder sling. For
hard-core applications, and for carrying heavier weapons the
Backscabbard (as found in the Operator,
Phantom,
Gunslinger,
Skycrane
and Dragonfly
packs) is still the way to go because it puts the weight of the gun
closer to your body. But the Ripcord is cool. It's a simple tool
that can be added to any PALS-racked pack (meaning all Eberlestock
Packs).
The Buttbucket
Gun Carry System set is sold separately.
